The real damage from Hurricane Ida was east of Baton Rouge, but we still have piles of debris awaiting pickup. The top half of a tree snapped off in our neighbor's yard and another tree damaged his fence. He knows how lucky he is that neither tree fell on his house.
Boy do we understand that around here! Most of our trees are quite tall but with all the rain we've had when the wind storms blow through people are nervous about whether or not the root systems will hold and if the tree does come down where it will land.
