Nostalgia at Thanksgiving

We were showing my son's girlfriend around Baton Rouge and he asked what happened to the flea market. It was torn down years ago, but I found a ten-year-old film photo of it. Come to think of it, we used to have several flea markets, and they are all gone.
I only know of one flea market in Edmonton

I know you were glad to have had this film shot. It looks like it was an interesting place at one time. So now is there nothing there at all?

A nice memory, like the layers of lettering, almost as though it shows the fading of things into history

We used to have one here in town that people down in South Jersey knew of and would come to! When I first moved here it was great place to Christmas shop too- local craftspeople and even Amish goodies. I don't remember what happened but I think they sold out the property. It's now covered over by a parking lot for a bus line and a supermarket. There's two smaller ones up the road, but no quality products at them. I don't know about other parts of the country, but perhaps they are not the "thing to do" any more. It may be an advertisement of the past, but I like this shot for some reason- maybe the nostalgia factor.
