Unfortunately, not much change

St. Mary's Chapel, Convent, Louisiana

I've posted pictures of this old chapel before. There is a small group trying to renovate it, but they seem to have stalled. It's located in a rural area along the Mississippi River that has other more pressing problems: poverty and pollution from chemical plants. Still, I wish we could save all these historic buildings!

Oh I do hope they can restore it! Looks in sad shape. An unusual architecture and beautiful windows.

What a gorgeous old church… love the statue iat the top of the building… how unique. Your composition gives a good look at the surrounding area too and helps the viewer understand the setting.

I hope they can keep it secure enough until they can fully restore it. The statue at the top of the roof line looks so unique and maybe there will be several organizations that can come together to tackle the big problems as well as this little chapel. Nice shot.
