@helenhall Thank you for your comment. When one is immersed in a situation sometimes one forgets the rest of the world can't read the details of one's life from a simple word, photo, or text. It does show hospital bands; these are those my sister was wearing in hospital. The green is a basic ID, the yellow indicates that she is a fall risk, the red that she has allergies to medication, and the purple lets everyone know that she is DNR. I am as well as I can be. I am very glad I got to say goodbye. Thank you again.
@huvesaker Thank you for your kind words. You really don't need to apologize, I took and posted the photo because it was such an emotionally charged time for me. My family had asked me to take photos of my sister, yet I found it so difficult to photograph her looking so unlike the beautiful woman she was. I could wrap my head around the bands. They represented all that was happening and how she had changed. I am sure that is more than you wanted or expected to hear, so I thank you again for allowing me that wee bit of release.
