Fennel Frond by evalieutionspics

Fennel Frond

I was picking fennel for the birds (Have you noticed how much of my day revolves around doing things for the birds?) when I noticed the symmetry of the fronds. I like the intricacy and range of color. I also like the way it seems as though one is sitting on a branch in a tree. I used to sit on a branch of a mulberry tree in the lot beside the corner store and read. In the summer, I ate the mulberries. I loved it up there, all cool (well, cooler) and private. Every kid should have a tree she can sit in.
I love just things you said, great photo!

I loved reading your narrative and can not disagree although my only memory of being up a tree as a child is from when I was chased by an Alsatian and climbed a tree for the first and last time of my life - for safety.

Totally agree about a tree for each child, a special spot unto themselves. This is very cool. I also see the image of a brain neuron map.
