Coming in for a Landing

While I was walking and photographing, I noticed another patch of poppies further down the field. They were a different kind, so I set off to check them out. Guess what?! My bee friends were there! So I sat down and had a little photo session with them. What a wonderful way to start the day.

Great picture! I wonder how you managed to do it so sharp, although the bee is moving.

Oh, very well focused! Its wings looks so tiny! Must be a bumble bee?

@kali66 Thank you very much!

@dreams Thank you, I appreciate your comment!

@365projectltaylor Thank you!

@Cherrill Thank you very much for your lovely comment!

@blueace Thank you so much! There were plenty of not so sharp bees from which to choose!

@sarasotab Thank you so much!

@gaylewood Thank you very much! I agree!

@dide Thank you, I appreciate your comment!

@toinette Thank you very much! It was mostly a matter of guessing where it was going to be and having a very fast shutter speed.

@maggiemae Thank you so much! I was told last year when I posted a photo of one that it was a blue-banded bee. They are not from here, I have asked a naturalist here what they are, and he had never seen one. He was quite interested in my observations. I am not sure if he will be happy that there seem to be more of them this year.

@helenhall Thank you very much! The morning sun makes it easy to get drama.

@dkbarnett Thank you very much! I have more success with this type of bee than the others. I think they must fly more slowly on approach.

@joysabin Thank you very much for your kind comment!

@gardenfolk Thank you so much! I appreciate your comment!

@evalieutionspics thank you for your answer and inspiration! I'll try it, too, when the rain has stopped here.
