@kali66 You are right, and as I wrote it, I was thinking, "I think @hunnybee has told me this would be a female bee." but for some reason, all bugs in my stories are male. Probably something to do with being surrounded by males in my family. I'll fix it!

Yes, the males (Drones) tend the pupa feeding them royal jelly, they also collect water for the hive in summer and they service the queen. All nectar and pollen collectors are female.
