Just Blending In

This young Starred Agama lizard was hanging out on the bottom of the palm tree at the end of the pool. Martios was lying on the pool deck waiting for it to miraculously jump into his mouth since that end of the garden is beyond the fence so he can't reach it. Actually, even if it were within the fence, he would never catch it. These lizards have him figured out. As soon as they see him, they scurry to the back of the tree and up a couple of feet. When Martios goes to the back, they just start running around and around the tree in circles just above his head. It drives him nuts! The boss lizard lives in the fir tree in the corner of the garden. Every evening, Martios sits between two trees and watches it as it basks in the late afternoon sun. He stares at it for ages. If one didn't know what he was doing, he would look as though he was staring off into the distance at absolutely nothing.
Nicely composed with the focus selectively on the lizard
