At 2:00 this morning some friendly neighborhood cats decided to invite me to their party by "celebrating" loudly on the patio outside my bedroom window. I got my flashlight and the dog so I could go join them. Of course, by then they were long gone, but I decided while I was outside, I might as well look at the sky. There were soooo many falling stars! So, I got my camera...and I waited...crickets...and mosquitos...and falling stars while my camera was NOT taking a photo, but never one when it was. So here you have a lovely photo of the sky and light pollution.
@ribbet9 Thank you very much! Yes, I think once Wilbur barked while he was still in the house, even the partying cats were long gone! Now that our Sir Squintley is unwell, he isn't able to put the fear of his large size into them anymore so we have had many more of these cats visiting and laying about on the furniture.
@helenhall Thank you very much! It was so lovely out; the temperature is perfect at night now. There was a storm coming in so I could hear the roar of the sea...I found it an entirely pleasant interlude.
