I hadn't tried this lens to photograph the moon yet. Last evening, I gave it a try. I must be getting stronger because I was able to take this handheld and even though it is a fast shutter speed, it is a heavy lens, and I was holding it above my head...because it was the moon. All-in-all, I was pleased with the image. It isn't an earth-shattering moon shot, but it is nice and sharp.
