So, it was pretty foggy this morning and after dropping the kids off to school, I grabbed my camera and went to my favorite spot to try to get a shot of the peak this morning. I arrived to find it was completely covered in clouds. I decided to stick around and see if the clouds would dissipate. I had my coffee with me, so decided to wait! Well I'm glad I did, because the wait was worth it this morning!
Wendy -- Didn't see that it was you and the thumbnail looked like a postcard and here (a) it's yours and (b) it's *not* a postcard (although it *could* be). Great shot and probably worth the wait!
Wow, this is such a gorgeous scene...so glad you waited it out so you could share with the rest of us. Boy do I envy you....dh and I have traveled out West several times and the mountaiins are where we hope to end up some day! Really beautiful shot!
@bluemoon Thank you for your comments! Absolutely love your eagle shots! Your barn shots warm my heart too! I have been living in Colorado most my life, but I am from Iowa, so there will always be a piece of me that's an Iowan girl! :)
@exposure4u That explains it...we usually only see the southwest side of Pikes Peak. Did you see the one I took on January 26th? It's not nearly as pretty as yours, (I didn't get very close to it) but with the sun shining on only the peak, it was quite a pretty site.
