Ok, so yes, this is definitely not the type of photo I usually take, but was trying out panning and had fun with it! Thought the yellow cab was a good subject for the panning experiment!
Thank you all for you amazing comments and views my last few shots! Just can't say enough!
@keyt427 Thank you Keyt and thanks for asking! I had the shutter speed set for 1/25 s and my aperture was at f11 and iso 100. I then focused on the cab when it was sitting at the stop light. As soon as it moved, I kept the focus on the cab and moved my camera with the movement of the cab and snapped away. The key is to keep focus on your subject and move the camera as it moves by. I took about 4-5 continuous shots and this one turned out the best! Sure fun to try!
Great example of panning, turning an otherwise mundane scene into a real slice of life! Well done, Wendy. You should try it at a motor racing event some day!
When I saw the thumbnail with your name beside it, I had to look twice! Very different for you and I love it! I've tried and failed at panning. You did an amazing job!! Inspired me to try again :)
Thanks for the link, I want to try this sometime :)
