When I arrived to the Oregon coast, the weather had something to be desired!! It was pretty foggy and rainy. I spent one night and decided to get up early for the sunrise and hope for the best. When the alarm went off, I noticed it was raining and contemplated staying in my warm bed! Then, I started to imagine the possibilities. I ventured out before sunrise to Ecola Point, hoping to capture some colors in the sky. I did have a pretty sunrise and then the sky quickly turned gray again. I thought I should look around for more possibilities and when I looked out to the ocean, I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw this rainbow! I quickly ran up a path and set up my tripod to hopefully capture the rainbow before it disappeared!
Excellent. I can't fine the quote right now, but it goes, "Most landscape photographers are late for work", sometimes you just have to pull yourself out of bed to get the great shots.
Good for you, getting out of your warm bed. It was worth it!
It's so easy to miss what's going on behind us. I've learned to keep an eye toward the east during sunset, because sometimes the view is even prettier that direction.
Nice shot. I know that it is sometimes easier to stay at home but you are always rewarded when you make the effort (at least in your spirit). Nice capture.
