@allie912 It is very high tech, so I am slowly getting used to it. There are some wonderful features like in-camera HDR, and super automatic which decides the best way to take a photo. The ISO goes up to 24,000 I think. I still shoot mainly on Aperture Priority, but there is still a lot to learn. The kit lens is a little contrasty for me, but you can't beat the sharpness. The best part is the small size and weight, and you still have interchangeable lenses. Great for travel.
@falcon11 My disappointment has been the range of the 2 lenses. I hoped the telephoto would enable me to capture animals from a distance but it is not as good at that as my Nikon P510. I do agree it makes a great sharp image but I don't think I m savvy enough on my own to take full advantage of all its qualities. For example, I wanted to switch to burst and couldn't remember how to get to it and then the moment passed. Frustrating.
@allie912 I agree. Sometimes I can't find a setting and the moment passes. Maybe it will come in time, and yes, I think I need a 300 or 400mm lens to augment the kit zoom that only goes to 200. I also bought an old Canon Rebel XT body on eBay this month so I could still use my fabulous Canon 100mm macro lens.
@falcon11 So there is a 300-400 mm lens. Good to know. I may be calling on you in future for advice. I do like the quality of the photos, as you'll see from what I post this evening.
