Willet on the Beach

This bird actually has two legs, but they sometimes stand this way on the sand. We walked the beach in the morning, and the birds were busy preening and foraging.

Very cool -- now that I've been 'introduced' to the willet, I'm noticing them more often when walking the beach. A different world!
