Snake

I must admit that this was the most fun I have ever had getting a photo for 365! And, it comes with the invaluable help of Shadow.
I saw this little guy in my garden, but he was gone by the time I returned with camera, Shadow knew exactly what I was looking for (smart dog) and was able to locate him once again.
But, this little fellow is slippery and fast! Shadow was able to keep him contained, of sorts, while I tried to snap as many pictures as I could. (Have you ever chased a garter snake around the yard with a macro lens? It ain't easy!)
Was able to get four decent pictures, even had one shot with his red tongue out.
I finally decided that a half hour of terrorizing the poor old snake was enough.

fabulous shot, great color and clarity..my son loves snakes so we are hunting for garter snakes alot!
