Stopped by Mill Pond Park in Alexandria to see if I could get some water reflection shots but there were just too many kids and waves.
There was, however, a tree crew taking down this lovely old elm tree with a cherry picker truck. They were very careful, with lots of guards watching for errant wanderers.
Taken on Aug. 2 but put here to fill this empty slot.
A great machine to have on hand! Lovely sun highlighting the dust from sawing!

It's a great capture Wendy, amazing that you caught all the sawdust flying around too. I always feel abit sad when I see trees being sawn down, although I know sometimes it is necessary.

@stephanies Our elm trees have been hit really hard with Dutch Elm disease and, unfortunately, must come down.
