It Has Begun!

There is a rose hiding under that snow - a very hardy rose that withstood a few light frosts but cannot survive this!
I knew that it wouldn't stay away forever, but I was certainly enjoying the long and warm autumn ... and was actually hoping the autumn weather would stretch right straight through to spring!
Oh well, can't change the weather so may as well enjoy it.

The contrast in the colours is just lovely. I think snow makes everything look so magical. We don't get snow much over here and not for a couple of years now. I miss the prettiness of it but not the cold and the frozen ice afterwards - so deadly.
