Springtime Finally Arrives In Glengarry

My get pushed challenge from Lisa @homeschoolmom was to post some pictures of spring.
Well - it has been winter complete with fresh fallen snow until today. Even the pussy-willows are reluctant to show their faces yet. So, here is a shot of our first winter run-off overflowing the banks of this narrow river.
It's not the pretty and calm view this river normally gives. This too, shall change.
Spring thaw. That works!

When I lived in New York State we called this "mud season"....Great color of that here and the water running.

It looked like a beautiful day out yesterday but I was lazy and stayed in all day. Are you worried about flooding. With a week of rain and snow and warming weather we are in danger. Glad I live on a hill.

Does this mean you're getting some nicer weather :)

@paul10 We are expecting an inch of rain overnight and into tomorrow so that should knock the remaining snow out - and then into spring time weather! Yayy! :)
Thanks!

The water is rather a disgusting colour - but it is spring runoff afterall. Thank you for stopping by!

@joansmor
We live in a real agricultural area so we have so much tile drainage that takes the water away so fast. We seldom get flooding.
