Fenced In

As any livestock farmer will tell you, the fencing should always be on the same side of the post as the livestock is. This wire, however is on the corn crop side with the cows on the opposite side.
The reason for that is the field that the corn is now growing in was once one of our pastures so the wire was correct then.
We are not worried that the cows will push against this fence since we run five strand electric fence. The chances of cows going anywhere near the fence is pretty slim!
Please note how clean and clear Hubby has brushed out the fence line - all 2 miles so far with another 2 miles to go.
Lots of work but it does need to be done on a regular basis. Trees and shrubs, weeds and grasses will ground out electric fences pretty fast.
