Sunflowers

My get pushed partner Annie D @annied challenged me to choose a painting by Van Gogh and recreate it - or take and edit a photo in the style of Van Gogh.
This one is a combo of the two . I could not re-create his famous sunflower paintings - and he has many - so I attempted to do this in his style.
Working with real sunflowers was more difficult than I thought it would be. They are surprisingly heavy and tend to over-whelm the vase. Also, the heads of the sunflowers are drooping down - and no amount of coaxing will get them to face up.
But, it was a fun set up (especially the part of sneaking into the local sunflower field to steal these for the shoot) I grabbed the smaller ones along the edge of the field that would not produce any seeds.
