Little Cabin in the Woods by farmreporter

Little Cabin in the Woods

I spied this cabin in the woods on the way home from dropping the kids off at school. I took a more relaxing route, listening to talk radio as I enjoyed the freedom.
While processing this photo, I discovered that if you push the saturation fully up to obscene colours and then turn the vibrance down to the opposite far end in PS that the muted colours will go B&W leaving just brighter colours as a more natural selective colour. (The tree on the left in this instance)
This is nothing new to those of you who do a lot of post processing, but it was a revelation to me!
I love the photo and the processing. It makes me think of the Robert Frost poem Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening.

This is a lovely scene. I like the way you have taken the cabin through the foliage.

I was completely admiring the coloring in the picture, then I read the description of the processing and ... can't wait to try this idea
