This is processed far more than I usually process but it feels right to me.
These stairs are actually in a very dark and dreary corner that does not get much light. I have been attempting to photograph them for years.
This is the happiest I have been with them, but it still leaves a little to be desired even yet.
You will probably see these again sometime as I try to capture what I see in my mind!
For the latest B&W challenge with stairs as the theme.
I like the stairs, they have a lovely character about them which is really cool and a little mysterious as we can't see where they lead. Also, they're a perfect subject for black and white. If I may offer an opinion, I found the outside to be too bright which takes the attention off the stairs and that's a shame. Have you tried bracketing the image to bring those highlights down, and getting a more balance image? Or maybe even overriding the ambient light altogether and lighting the stairway with off camera flash? Sorry Wendy, I'm seeing the image how I'd shoot it, so thought I'd share - hope that's ok :-)

Thank you so much for the advice, Paul! I really do appreciate your input and it is exactly the type of comment I am looking for!
Will see what I can do to fix this - probably can in post processing!
Can't use this for nf-sooc since I did process this quite a bit. Will be uploading that one shortly.
