Framed

This will be the last shot from yesterday's photo shoot with the birds. I promise!
It was rather neat that I was able to get this guy peeking through the branches at me while I was standing by the feeder. He wasn't too sure what I was up to!
Shanne @shannejw challenged me to use a setting of my camera that I never normally use, whether it's some in-camera processing or a pre-set for a scene I do not usually use. Since I shoot 95% on manual and my camera will allow me to create pre-sets of my own, I learned how to do this.
The first pre-set I created was for the series of chickadee photos where I set the camera for the conditions I had – ISO 800 since it was a cloudy day, aperture of f5.6 (relatively open for a nice background but closed enough to allow the whole bird to be in focus) and the fastest shutter speed (1/200 sec) I could get in the darker conditions without blowing my ISO much higher.
So, I shot the whole series with this pre-set. Will probably not keep this as a pre-set but it was a great way to learn how to do it.
Lovely bit of framing there :)

sweet framed shot - and interesting to see the face as well - looks a bit like our coal tits https://www.rspb.org.uk/birds-and-wildlife/wildlife-guides/bird-a-z/coal-tit/

Shanne @shannejw I actually learned how to create my own personal pre-sets with this series of shots but was not going to use them as my get-pushed challenge, but I prefer these to what I actually ended up doing.
Hope you don't mind me using both?

That's fine - and the challenge was to learn more about your camera.
