Arnica @arnica17 asked for a photo with both of my favorite and least favorite color. Or if the combination is not pretty, just least favorite color is okay.
As you can probably tell from my project, I prefer colour over the monotone shots. And, while I do like all the colours, my favourite colours are earth tones; the greens, browns, and earthy greys. My least favourite colours are the complementary colours of purple and orange.
I really like how there are so many different shades of purple in this shot depending on how deep in the cluster the particular straw is. And, the light grey background works as one of my favourite colours.
Here is my response to your challenge, Arnica! @arnica17
I was looking all over outside for this colour but cannot find, of course, since it is winter and it is an unusual colour!
@farmreporter Our "forward thinking" politicians decided that plastic straws pose a horrible danger to fish, turtles, microorganisms, and all of mankind, and therefore have moved to ban them from restaurants. Those caught serving a straw can actually be subject to imprisionment. Meanwhile, we have roads and bridges crumbling, a huge homeless problem, and some of the lowest ranked schools in the nation, but none of our politician feel compelled to address such issues. But we can all sleep better knowing that plastic straws are no longer a threat to our existence. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/california-city-oks-jail-time-for-defying-plastic-straw-ban
Great response 🖒 nice shape and as you mention, different shade of purple. Good that you include both of favorite and least favorite color. Well done ☺
@stray_shooter Sorry Wendy but I think the politicians have the the right priorities in this case. Shame they don't put the same amount of thought into dealing with climate change... although maybe they do in Canada? After all the melting permafrost in the arctic circle is clear for all to see.

Please explain ... I'm confused. This is a photo of purple straws!
Thanks.
Well done Wendy!
