Okay - not a huge change - just added a bigger moon to the photo but I actually did it.
(Don't know if I can remember how, though)
Things I learned : take the larger moon shot at the same time as the foreground. I had taken the larger moon earlier at a different location so my exposure here is not proper. The moon should not be blue - which I did in my attempt to fix the exposure.
Second - feather the edges of the moon so the outline is not so sharp and phony looking.
And, lastly - I think the moon is just a tad too big for this shot - slightly smaller would be better but not the tiny dot that was actually in the sky.
these learning curves are interesting, aren't they? I learned that I had to take all the shots at the same time in the same light and position to get the light and shadows to look right a while back (that pear that made the TT), but I still don't learn. I've found using the smudge tool or rubber tool with a soft edge on a very low opacity can soften edges, if I'm organised enough

I started off with Lightroom and then Photoshop. Both are new programs for me. They are supposed to work together so that you can open PS once initial edits are done in LR but I must be doing something wrong because it does not work that way for me.
And then when I do get it to work I forget what I did because I have been trying a whole raft of different things - lol!
I would highly recommend Lightroom - not for its' editing abilities but for the organization it brings. I am slowly but surely starting to give my thousands of photos taken over 15 years some semblance of order. The sooner you start - the easier it is.
But, LR is best for setting exposure and getting the light correct I find.

That pear was a wonderful shot.
I still have not had a shot make TT even though I have been here forever!
