Mary Siegle @mcsiegle relied on Frank’s grandmother’s little red dictionary for this week's get pushed challenge. She stuck her finger in randomly and it landed on the word “best.” In addition, she challenged me to use a few of the words surrounding that: bestial, bestow, beware, bewilder, bewitch.
The apple tree was a buzz with birds and bees until I stepped out on the deck with my trusty camera. Then, the alarm was sounded! *BEWARE! A human is about! Take flight and hide!"
This is the BEST I could do with this robin when she totally BEWILDERED me, flitting from branch to branch, teasing me with an occasional view of her BEWITCHING eye. I was so happy when she BESTOWED a pause on me to capture this shot in the blossoms!
Oh, what I wouldn't do to have a REALLY long and good telephoto lens to capture birds in the blossoms.
Also required, is time to be able to sit quietly on the deck with the long lens to wait for the bird to land in a perfect spot for the perfect shot.
Oh yeah - let me step out my front or arrive home and the screeching starts. Sometimes I yell back "patience I'll be gone in a moment." I love taking pictures of them but it requires more patience than I have most days. Fun to watch them pig out on the food
