I guess I am on my way to learning Photoshop. I did this using layers ... the first time I have ever used layers.
So I guess that this is actually a composite
I am kinda getting the hang of it and there will be much trial and error before I actually feel comfortable with it.
I did experience troubles with this. I could not for the life of me get PS to clone out all the pictures and knick knacks on the back wall over the main table in order to show the smaller photos better.
I eventually resorted to doing my major work on the big photo in Elements and then embedding that edited photo back into PS to use.
It was a piece of cake after that! Like all experiments, this result leaves a lot to be desired but it is the learning that counts!
For the MFPIAC challenge with the theme of tables.
TA-DAH!!
Nicely done. The thing I found about using PS, and I'm no pro, that I learn how to do something one time and when try to do it again, it doesn't seem to work. So frustrating! And time consuming.

Thank you for your encouragement , ladies! I am also planning on giving the composite challenge (freedom theme) a try. It ends on Tuesday so it will be interesting to see what I can do with that!
Great job! I love Photoshop. The only problem is that you can do soooo much with it and that you have several options to get to a very similar result. I have been using it for a couple of years now, but think I only used a fraction of what is possible.
What really helped me is doing some tutorials. Here is a link to a website of with tutorials I really like: https://www.bluelightningtv.com/tutorials.html
Just keep in mind that when a tutorial is 10 minutes, it will often take at least 2 hours, before I really get it.... but with this one I can do it in the end and it is a lot of fun!
Aha! so you're grappling with Photoshop layers too?
For your Challege , how about creating a half and half photo where each half is edited differently, using layers. maybe overlay a 2nd image over one half? and/or use reflection to create the starting image.
Maybe something reflected like this stunning tree by Ditdatdot could work as a starting image? https://365project.org/ditdatdot/365/2020-04-08

Sounds like a great idea! Thank you for taking my steep learning curve into consideration.
