Tim Erskine @timerskine challenged me to take a picture of an inanimate object that provides comfort. There is nothing in the world that makes me forget my troubles faster than a walk or drive with just me, my dogs, and my camera,
However, it is usually my camera that gets neglected first when life gets really busy ……
Thank you, Tim, for the wonderful challenge. It really did bring comfort to have my camera in hand once again to photograph my old D80, my first DSLR that sat in as the model for this assignment.
Looking forward to the day that I can spend more time with my camera!
Hope you don't mind but the camera club is thinking of trying some moon shots for a possible header for our FB group page. I posted a link to this for inspiration.
Hello Wendy, I do like this shot for so many reasons, not least the explanation of what prompted it. My son is currently on a mission to get me using either a DSLR or mirrorless (?) camera, he has suggested a Nikon D5500 - but it seems quite bulky to carry around! Thank you for my challenge, I have read the links you kindly posted and will now be looking for diagonals instead of fungi! For your challenge I thought of offering you a saying to then work with however you would like to: "Mistakes are the stepping stones to wisdom" Have fun!
So sorry it was at the last minute, but, better late than never!
