I could not have asked for a better evening for a photo shoot. The sky was clear, the sunset and moon rise both happened at the 5:49 pm and I was able to find a spot with good views of both.
It was rather neat to take a photo of the sunset, then just walk across the narrow peninsula to grab the moonrise minutes later! And, as a bonus, there was still just enough light in the sky to give great details to the foreground as the moon was rising!
