I showed this shot at my virtual Camera Club meeting along with the photo that Mona Hatoum did and discussed the differences in the two,
The obvious ones are that my shot is of a blond blue eyed child so the eye brow hair is almost invisible in this shot where as Mona's is of a brown eyed brunette adult with a more distinct eye brow.
The other differences are not so obvious but cultural. Mona's eye has tension in it, It is wider open, and almost has a fearful look to it. This may be a deliberate statement by Mona who experienced war in her life.
My shot is of my grandson who has not experienced hardship in any meaningful way. His eye is relaxed and innocent.
Rather interesting study of an interesting artist!
Here is the link to the shot I attempted to replicate: https://www.sothebys.com/en/buy/auction/2019/contemporary-art-online-3/mona-hatoum-untitled-eye-ii
And an actual eye for the Eye of the Beholder challenge.
