And it rained of course!
I had been eagerly anticipating the weekend with local 365 members for over a month before the event. I was watching the weather forecast as the day approached and was delighted to see good weather forecasted for the day.
My heart sank on the Wednesday before when the forecast changed to possible rain,
Friday was gorgeous when I picked Vikki up from the train but we woke up to cloudy skies on Saturday.
I knew that rain was possible but I also knew that we would be okay as long as it did not rain from 1pm to 2 when we would be at the Ruins with no cover at all.
As fate would have it, the only time it rained hard was when we were at the Ruins!
this is quite a capture, wendy. this was what i had in mind but the one shot i had exactly like this was blurry. you should send this to the young man; it could be his profile picture for whatever social media he's on. aces!
@summerfield
I will be sending this along with the ones you sent to me and any that the others managed to grab.
What a day! It was great, except for the rain at the ruins!
@farmreporter@summerfield It was a great day Wendy. Unfortunate for the rain, but not much control we have over the weather. It was so unfortunate with the beautiful day on Friday but as they say 'c'est la vie'. This is a great shot Wendy. I am just going through mine now and will send you a couple that I managed to get. It was so much fun to meet up with fellow 365ers. Thanks again for organizing this.
Sounds like nothing could have dampened your spirits - 365'ers together with their cameras. Good shot of the piper who is obviously undeterred by the weather.
