This is for this week's Trevor Carpenter's Challenge which is Black on Black.
Do you think that this qualifies? His face and ears are black but he does have the typical Border Collie blaze from his forehead down to his nose.
This was taken in front of a black cloth with sunlight streaming in from the side and behind. Very little post processing - not even a crop but I did adjust the exposure a tad.
I love how clearly you can see his eyes. It’s tricky with my son’s cat’s eyes. So often the angle is wrong and they disappear into the black fur surrounding them.
Thanks for the challenge. I’m going to give you the same challenge I gave Tim a little while back—something someeone else challenged me to do some time back. Don’t know if there’s a name for this visual construction but give it a shot. Compose your photo in such a way that each corner is filled with a different “thing” or element of your composition. So I’d like you to give it to go. The latest pictures of mine (“Closer Look”) is an example, albeit an unplanned one). What do you think?
That is a great challenge, Mary. I will be keeping my eyes open the whole week for something like that!
i was just telling my young nephews about the first night i was at your house and shadow was sleeping in the washroom! they found it quite hilarious.
I am so pleased that you have good memories of our time together!
I am looking so forward to when we can do it again!
