Mom is up and taking care of her triplets. She will lick them all steady until they are up on their own looking for their first suckle which usually happens within twenty minutes of birth.
This series of photos is in response to a challenge given to me by Ron @stray_shooter who asked me to photograph new life on the farm. I was hoping , and am pleased, that this quiet ewe was able to deliver on that request.

It really is amazing how fast lambs get up and sucking. I guess it is because they are flight animals and need to get away from predators quickly if the need arises. Lambing is one of the most vulnerable times for sheep so they get it done fast!
