It is said that God looks after drunks and fools. I found this juxtaposition of church and pub rather humorous and it brought that quote to mind.
This is Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, which is known as Canada's most notorious city. Prohibition then took hold in the early 1900s with Moose Jaw becoming a distribution point for bootlegging from Canada to the United States. The Soo Line Railroad, which connects to Chicago, was the main transportation for these bootleggers leading to Moose Jaw's nickname, "Little Chicago."
