Murray McLauchlan, a Canadian singer / songwriter made this song famous in the 1970s, and it still crosses my mind every so often.
I spent a fair bit of time watching these old guys swing bales. I got a few shots - could not decide which ones I liked better so hence a second one for the challenge. So sorry!
Never heard of the song but this is a very familiar sight for me! I have spent hours on top of the trailers loading hay. Always a lovely memory riding on top of the load with the smells of summer as you go. Not as popular now as it's mostly all large bales or wrapped ones these days.
