This little horse is carved out of a match stick and stands a total of 0.75 inches from the bottom of the main base (just above the notch in the stick) to the top of the head.
That is less than 2 cm. for those of you in the metric system!
She is encased in a small clear glass tube for protection.
Now, most of you are probably wondering what this has to do with Australia Day. This was a gift from Australian friends when they came over for Christmas. It is hand carved in Australia and about the only Australian object we own.
The Australian who carved it was talented indeed!
