August Alphabet Words - A is for Awry

My plans went awry.
I went out to the barn this evening expecting to take a photo of the gorgeous grouping of delicate mushrooms I saw this morning.
They were flattened, fallen over, in disarray with their delicate stems all tangled up.
I did not realize that their life span was less than 24 hours.
