I'd rather be lucky than good any day when it comes to getting shots like this!
I purposely left my errands until the end of the day so I could grab a night shot in town. Normally I would be frustrated to have the crossing gates and lights delay me for a train, but tonight the west sky was so gorgeous I happily hopped out of the truck with camera in hand to capture the train coming down the tracks.
This also qualifies for Richard Sayer's nf-sooc-2018 challenge that I have been combining with the September words.

There is some luck involved as I was at the right place at the right time though I do always carry my camera with me and I did have time to adjust the settings for the sky before it came into view.
Would love to edit a bit to lighten the train a smidge but it is for the sooc challenge so cannot!
