Just got a new macro lens for my Nikon camera! Had a pretty picture of some flower stamen, but decided to wait to see if something more interesting turned up! Well...Mr. moth was sitting on the side of my door where you come in. Got my camera and shot away! He was at a weird angle but I think I got a pretty good shot of him. I know he's not pretty but he is definitely interesting! I didn't realize that they were so hairy!
If being able to take a picture like yours means I have to get a macro lens, then I am going shopping! Guess that means I have to get a new camera to go with it. This is a great photo.

Hope you stepped on it after you got the shot. It looks like a gypsy moth and they eat all the leaves off trees before they become moths and I think they die after they lay their eggs....... not a good moth. Interesting to look at though. Super macro shot.
