Came across the hooded merganser but it wasn't in the water it was on the dock so I quietly laid down and took some photos of it.

These little Golden Crowned Kinglets are so fast. I use to think the chickadees were fast but I think these little birds have them beat. Such a cute little bird.

This is the hole that the polar dippers use daily. The seagulls seem to be enjoying it too. LOL

The lighting was just right to show off it's beautiful colours and show detail in it's feathers. It was sitting in a perfect spot too.

Always know when there's a red-winged blackbird around. You can recognize their call right away.
