Lipstick flower

My lipstick plant has just come into bloom - don't you think the anthers look just like a little pair of buck teeth?

I've never heard of (nor seen) a lipstick flower before! This actually reminds me of the spice works in the film "Dune".

i had one of these plants, many years ago. They look super when there are lots of open flowers along the trailing stems.. your plant looks to be in good condition, i hope it always gives you lots of flowers over a long period of time..

@maggiemae Thanks for commenting, they usually all bloom at about the same time but this year some buds are still developing. Just means I will have flowers for longer I guess!
@carole_sandford Thanks Carole:) It hangs in the conservatory and trails down. Then the bright scarlet flowers appear in the summer and it's suddenly very pretty.
