Lovely colours and light.

Beautiful light and i love the super detail caught on that lovely tree stump.. your Pov is inspired - giving lots of interest in the foreground, not always easy to do when taking shots of landscape..
i'm with you on the heat.. i much prefer Autumn with it's delicious light and air that i can breathe, October is my fave month of the year, with it's 'mellow fruifulness'..

@jorlam Thanks very much for your very kind comments. It was the bleached tree remains that made me stop and I was going to call this Silver and Gold but it didn't show up as well as I'd hoped. I love September when you get that little hint of crispiness in the air and the morning mists.

@hrs Thanks very much! I hope you don't have that tune on the brain now, I did for all of yesterday!

Love the comp.. the electricity pole as a distant echo of the tree trunk is perfect. I'm giving up praising colours on account of how easy it is to manipulate them with software! :-)

@yrhenwr Big thank you! The purist I used to be disappeared when I discovered Nik filters - they are such fun to use. And the pics I take look a little better with a little help!
