Another of Richard Woods' colourful artworks for the Folkestone Triennial. This one is situated on the harbour arm and has excellent views to both France and Folkestone:)
@johnsutton Thanks John, the minute I see a Lego Man I'll snap him! RW is hoping the various installations around the town will highlight the present housing crisis where many people own more than one home and others are homeless. A high proportion of houses in the area are apparently holiday homes.
@maggiemae Yes, they are real. Made in the style of a cartoon with the bright garish colours of the 1970s. They are a third of the size of an average bungalow and the windows/doors do not open. There's a lit of information on RW on the internet and he does seem to be famous internationally.
@gretchenhambly Thanks very much! I've only tracked down 3 of the 6 so far, it's a work in progress for me to date. If you like this one, you will like the floating pink home in the harbour:). When I first saw them I thought they were gimmicky but they've grown on me very quickly, they're definitely eccentric but make a real statement. Glad you like this one too.
Wonderful colours in his harbour homes. Great shot.
