Sugar Frosted

Still playing with infra red, no need to comment, sorry for being behind with commenting - Darcey (the new puppy) is taking up an awful lot of my awake time, and a little bit of the asleep time too:)
An apt title. Everything so white.

I think this is your best IR yet. The contrast is so sharp which makes all the difference.
(I am in need of another Darcey fix . . . )

I am so glad this is due to infrared fiddling and not an actual frost~! Very pretty!

Lovely!
October 10th, 2018
Terrific effort. Are you shooting infra-red or processing them that way :-)
October 10th, 2018
Very effective, my first thought was " That seems early for snow" :)
October 10th, 2018
@paul10 Bought a really cheap IR converted camera from Ebay and am changing the red and blue channels in the channel mixer (downloaded from Elements+ as PSE11 doesn't have one of these). Otherwise the sky is chocolate which I think actually looks rather nice anyway. It's nowhere near the end result I'd like to achieve (pink or golden trees, blue skies, etc) but am struggling with the process quite a bit so took a shortcut - glad you like it:)

Must be snow - or ice!

@fbailey cool, after seeing yours, I attempted to recreate in PS. I will show you sometime

@adi314 Look forward to seeing it! The whole process fascinates me. I started off trying faux IR with Elements, went on to buy an IR filter and finally picked up a really cheap converted D50 on EBay. The results are still not what I'm after and it looks like a pretty steep learning curve in front of me. Challenging though! Please put yours up, am looking forward to seeing it/them.

Ha! Life with a puupy :)
Loving the IR images

Interesting IR effect... some visible light must have been in the mix too, if it wasn't done with software. I've just bought a digital IR camera with an extreme IR sensor... it doesn't respond to visible light at all.

@yrhenwr Thanks for commenting David. This was taken with a cheap camera conversion from EBay. I started out trying with a faux infra red effect using Elements not v successfully, changed to a filter and then went for the camera. Am still on a v steep learning curve as to what works and what doesn't. Can't always predict the results either. It's very addictive though!
October 17th, 2018
@fbailey Addictive indeed. It's the unpredictability that makes IR film photography fun, frustrating and expensive.
October 17th, 2018
@yrhenwr Graveyards are supposed to be effective so I'm waiting for the next bright day and will head off to the local cemetery ...
