This is Alex, who I met this afternoon in the supermarket car park. I was sitting in my car wondering where I'd put my shopping list when he pulled up beside me, and told me it was good to see a car like mine still on the road. Apparently he used to have the same model until 2004 but had parted with her when he went to live in NZ. We had a lovely chat about cars, Great Danes and Brexit and when I asked if I could please take his photo for my 100 Strangers Project, he replied "Well, we're not really strangers now". So here is my new friend Alex, who I thoroughly enjoyed meeting.
what a great stranger story - and the photo makes him look as friendly as he sounds. "I was sitting in my car wondering where I'd put my shopping list " - story of my life!
@golftragic She's the one that's being photographed for the 30 day challenge Marnie. I'm sure you'll guess soon as I'm running out of innocuous things to photograph on her! She was a very popular car in her day and came off the production line in 1972, hence not in pristine condition.
I can understand cars (especially yours,) Brexit but not Great Danes - unless he had one with him, then it would have been obvious.
Only one more sleep - fingers crossed. Had Meg's Maniacs for a sleep over last night. I'd forgotten how much of a bed 2 small dogs use and how little is left for the much larger human.

He looks like a most interesting man - and his car looks very cool too. It's a great portrait - he's so confident facing the camera. A lovely new friend to meet. :)
