Out of the Frying Pan ...

We had dinner over at a friend's house tonight. The main course was this massive 3.8kg pink snapper.
You weren't kidding - that fish is HUGE! Hope it was tasty.

It was very tasty Sue, and complemented nicely by a glass of Marlborough Sav Blanc :-)

Cooked with the eyes in, yes. Apparently they're a delicacy in Japan.

I though he looked kind of evil sitting there peering over the edge of the pan lol

Thats a big fish. I should have looked at this after dinner. That has made me want fish now :)

I have the feeling that was a delicious dinner! Given my "skills" and "lack of same", I would have loved to have taken this picture, but I'd leave the cooking to someone else... Also, the latent artist in me looks at this big, whole fish, and I think what a cool "mono-print" it would make...

Wow! Great shot. :)

I see what you mean about the evil look in his eye -- what a capture! (in more ways than one!)

Thanks everyone for the lovely comments.

@Louise - It would make a good mono-print wouldn't it. I didn't even see that until you mentioned it!

Brilliant take, I'm not a big eater of fish, but my husband loves fish and all seafood actually, introduced me to Snapper, if not for the cost I could eat it a couple of times a week.
