This week has been classic April showers, with heavy storms being chased out by dazzling sunshine and rainbows... picked George up from school and drove to a spot where we got a huge sky, the storm clouds were either coming or going but at least we had sun for a while. We needed it! Saw some stunning B&W shots and felt like having a go myself. This was the prettiest.
Gosh almighty, you folk are truly the best - thank you so much for your heart-warming comments on my boosted rainbow yesterday.. it's rarely a bad day when your 365 friends are so lovely :)
@woot I wish I could have got the whole tree too but there was a monstrosity next to it and while I was tempted to crop it out entirely, I kind of liked the balance it gave while connecting the sky and the land...
Thanks for your feedback, your crit is always sweet and true :)
@helstor Thanks Helge, I was so reluctant to wipe out the blue but wanted to try something a bit different... you know the moment when you wince as you press 'save'.....! So grateful for all your kind comments :)
I don't mind the cropped tree at all. In fact I knew this was a fav before I'd even clicked on the thumbnail. I love the subtle sunflare, the definition in the clouds and the composition xx
@filsie65 as I've mentioned before I love the contrast between the two corners: sunrays "invade" the pictures from one corner, tree branches from the other; shadows against light. Is the sosrt of image where the tree silhouette usually sits on one of the thirds
Thanks for your feedback, your crit is always sweet and true :)
