What an amazing weekend! After Saturday at the derby and then a late-night dance, last night we went to church where there was a festival evensong. Today we had a family funday on the village green with facepainting, races, games, then tonight we joined a huge number of fellow villagers to watch the jubilee concert from Buckingham Palace, on a huge tv screen in a field up on the hill, before lighting a 12-foot-high beacon and joining in with over 4000 others across the country and commonwealth. Marvellous. We watched the end of the concert and I make no apologies for my huge pride as everyone, young and old stood and joined in with the millions singing the national anthem. Just marvellous!!
And you are also marvellous, my fellow 365ers, for calling in to see my shot of the red devil parachute team yesterday and perhaps enjoying the shot too. Thank you all - I hope you had a marvellous weekend wherever you were and whatever you were up to!
I watched the concert with my sweetie last night.... Elton John did not sound like Elton John. The fireworks were lovely! It was a jubilee to remember. I am so living in the wrong country. The fire in this picture is perfect! What a shot! Well done you!
