Well this has to be one of the sillier things I've posted (except for knitted earless bunnies and cats in yoga trances). Comes to something when the kids find you putting sliced carrot on a lamp and don't even ask what you're doing it for.....!!

I like it! I love the brightness of the orange and the textures. Did it smell like cooking carrots in the house afterwards?
That's too funny about the kids not even asking Mom what she is doing anymore. My husband told his Dad that I take pictures of everything including the cut flowers he sent me. His Dad did not believe him until I sent him the photos of his cut flowers and my cat.

@indianarthemis Hello Indiana! I put the thinly-sliced carrot on a bit of cut-up clear plastic, over the top of a lamp. Set the camera to macro to pick up the detail and got clicking after re-arranging the carrots several times! I did a similar shot back in January with a slice of lemon, the glare from the lamp then was too much so I put it on the side of the lampshade instead. Happy snapping! :)
This is a carroty cool abstract! And I love how it came to be. So funny that our families get used to seeing us put objects in strange places and lay down on the ground etc... haha Faved it! and congrats on the PP!
